Speech and Language Therapist - Early Years

Are you a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) or looking for a new challenge? We'd love to welcome you to our integrated therapy team at Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. Our service includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, and we've recently undergone exciting changes following the recommissioning of our services.

We are currently recruiting for 1 full-time Band 5 SLT to join our friendly and innovative team. In this role, you will support children and their families within our Early Years Clinics service with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs. There are also opportunities to support children in mainstream schools, with or without Education and Health Care Plans.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Buckinghamshire's graduated approach to meeting communication needs
  • Providing training and coaching to parents
  • Conducting assessments and delivering therapy interventions

You will also contribute to service development, finding innovative solutions to meet community needs.

This role requires a DBS check due to the nature of the work with vulnerable populations.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
