Job summary

Simply Education is recruiting a Qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join a supportive specialist education setting for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism and SEMH needs. This is a permanent, pro rata role linked to term-time only, offering a collaborative MDT and opportunities to shape the SaLT service.

You'll work with a small caseload, deliver targeted interventions, contribute to EHCPs and annual reviews, and train staff to support communication across the school.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and RCSLT membership are essential.
• Qualified in Speech & Language Therapy with degree or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs in SEND/ASC or SEMH is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out specialist assessments and contribute to EHCPs and annual reviews.
• Plan and deliver individual and targeted interventions.
• Support pupils with speech, language and communication needs.
• Work closely with teachers, TAs and the wider therapy team.
• Train and advise staff on communication strategies.
• Support and provide guidance to a Therapy Assistant.

Simply Education is recruiting a Qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join a supportive specialist education setting for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism (ASC) and SEMH needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary team where Speech & Language Therapy is genuinely valued and embedded into everyday school life.

The Role

You'll work with a small caseload of pupils, helping them develop their communication skills and access education successfully. You'll also have the opportunity to help shape and develop the school's SaLT provision.

Your role will include:

• Carrying out specialist assessments and contributing to EHCPs and annual reviews
• Planning and delivering individual and targeted interventions
• Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
• Working closely with teachers, TAs and the wider therapy team
• Training and advising staff on communication strategies
• Supporting and providing guidance to a dedicated Therapy Assistant

What We're Looking For

You’ll need to:

• Be HCPC registered and a member of RCSLT
• Hold a recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree or equivalent
• Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
• Be confident working independently as part of a supportive MDTExperience within SEND, Autism, SEMH or a school environment would be beneficial.
