Job summary

The Aurora Group seeks a Qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join the Eccles and White House Schools in Quidenham. You will develop an integrated SLT service, providing specialist assessment, intervention, and training to pupils, families, carers, and professionals within a multi-disciplinary team.

Based at Aurora Eccles and White House Schools, you’ll support pupils aged 5–16 with communication difficulties, in a rural setting. UK driving licence and vehicle access are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Registered with RCSLT and HCPC.
• Professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of specialist assessment tools, therapy interventions and behaviour support.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of children and young people with complex needs.
• Deliver assessment, intervention and evidence-based therapy plans in line with EHCP and Annual Review outcomes.
• Work closely with other SLTs, clinical colleagues, school staff, families and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and outcome measures.
• Provide advice, training and accessible resources to support communication across the school environment.
• Contribute to reviews, meetings, referrals and screening assessments for prospective pupils.
• Duties may vary and contribute to wider school aims.

Aurora White House School and Aurora Eccles SchoolWe’re looking for a Qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join Aurora Eccles and White House Schools. You’ll help develop our integrated Speech and Language Therapy service, providing specialist assessment, intervention, advice and training to pupils, families, carers and professionals as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.Aurora Eccles and White House Schools in Quidenham, Norwich provide day placements for pupils aged 5 to 16 with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, anxiety and other barriers to learning.With small classes, typically seven pupils and at least three staff per class, plus an onsite clinical team and experienced SLT support, you’ll be able to focus on each pupil’s individual needs.

Qualifications

• To be a registered member of RCSLT and HCPC


• To hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent


• Knowledge and Experience - Essential


• Knowledge of specialist assessment tools, therapy interventions and behaviour support.


• Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH, trauma and adverse childhood experiences and their impact on communication.


• Clear understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and relevant protection procedures.


• Postgraduate-level experience, ideally within a specialist client group.


• Experience supporting young people with social communication needs, working within multi‑disciplinary teams and preparing complex reports.


• Due to the rural location of the school, candidates are strongly advised to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
