Job summary

Simply Education is recruiting a Qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist education setting for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism and SEMH.

You’ll work with a small caseload, carry out specialist assessments, plan and deliver interventions, support pupils with communication needs and contribute to shaping the SaLT provision within a supportive MDT.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered and RCSLT member.
• Speech & Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• SEND/Autism/SEMH experience in a school setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out specialist assessments and contributing to EHCPs and annual reviews
• Planning and delivering individual and targeted interventions
• Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
• Working closely with teachers, TAs and the wider therapy team
• Training and advising staff on communication strategies
• Supporting and providing guidance to a dedicated Therapy Assistant

Simply Education is recruiting a Qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join a supportive specialist education setting for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism (ASC) and SEMH needs.

The Role

You’ll work with a small caseload of pupils, helping them develop their communication skills and access education successfully. You’ll also have the opportunity to help shape and develop the school's SaLT provision.

What We're Looking For

You’ll need to:

• Be HCPC registered and a member of RCSLT
• Hold a recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree or equivalent
• Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
• Be confident working independently as part of a supportive MDTExperience within SEND, Autism, SEMH or a school environment would be beneficial.
