About The Role

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Adult Services, and we are now actively taking referrals. This is an exciting and valuable role within a busy service, providing essential assessments to adults. This is a hybrid or remote role located in one of our clinics in Harrogate, Huddersfield, Exeter, Norwich, or Gosforth for suitably qualified clinicians working within the Evolve Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team for adults referred for Autism. We are looking for clinicians who are occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, learning disability nurses, or mental health nurses.

Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely. We have multiple positions available—both remote and hybrid—with some in-person work required for hybrid roles, to attract candidates with varying levels of experience and geographical locations, including senior roles. Hybrid roles must be able to travel to one of our locations, to undertake face-to-face assessments.

We are particularly interested in hearing from Allied Health Professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists (SaLT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Mental Health Nurses (MH Nurse), and Learning Disability Nurses (LD Nurse), who have experience in adult neurodevelopmental assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Autism assessments using established diagnostic tools.
  • Complete in-depth clinical interviews, observations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Prepare high-quality assessment reports with clear recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, training, and clinical supervision.
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT), Occupational Therapist (OT), NMC registered Mental Health Nurse (MH Nurse), or Learning Disability Nurse (LD Nurse), or GMC registered Medical Practitioner.
  • Experience as a neurodevelopmental practitioner with relevant specialist training.
  • Experience conducting diagnostic assessments for adults with suspected Autism.
  • Experience conducting ADHD assessments is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools.
  • Understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
  • Ideally ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R trained.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Benefits Of Working With Us
  • Hybrid working with flexibility for remote and in-person assessments.
  • Pension scheme to support your future.
  • Generous annual leave allowance to ensure a good work-life balance.
  • Additional day off for your birthday or a day in lieu.
  • Full ongoing training and clinical supervision to support your professional development.
  • Company benefits and discounts to enhance your employee experience.
  • Regular company events to foster team connection and engagement.
  • Opportunities for career progression within a growing and supportive organisation.

If you're a dedicated Allied Health Professional looking to make a meaningful impact in neurodevelopmental assessment, we'd love to hear from you!
