Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Darlington

Contract Duration: Until 31st March 2024, then on a month-to-month basis until October

Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our client on an interim basis. The successful candidate will work within the Elderly Care, Stroke, and Community Stroke teams, providing essential support and expertise to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialised speech and language therapy services to patients in Elderly Care, Stroke, and Community Stroke settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for speech and language disorders.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting therapy as needed.
• Contribute to the development of evidence-based practices within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registered with the HCPC.
• Experience in Elderly Care, Stroke, or Community Stroke settings.

The role starts at the B6 level, with progression to B7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
