Job summary

Viridien is seeking a highly talented geologist who specialises in spectral geology to work on integrated geology projects and perform geological interpretation using satellite remote-sensing datasets. The role is based in Crawley within the Satellite Mapping group and involves delivering spectral geology products at scale, collaborating across disciplines.

You will contribute to reports, support business development via client interactions, and benefit from hybrid working with strong HPC

Qualifications

• MSc in Geology, Remote Sensing, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years professional experience in a relevant commercial role.
• Robust understanding of spectral geology principles and workflows.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting hyperspectral imagery and derived products.
• Proficiency with industry standard image processing packages.

Responsibilities

• Create and contribute to high-quality data products and comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
• Support the Geology team by taking on additional tasks as needed.
• Promote spectral geology services through client presentations and interactions.
