An exciting opportunity for a Specialty OH Doctor to join NHS's in-house Occupational Health team in London. The role involves providing comprehensive health and wellbeing support to a workforce of 15,000 staff, ensuring best-practice service delivery and participating in professional development. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, offering flexible scheduling and career advancement opportunities.
A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a Specialty OH Doctor to join our in-house OH team, as we have recently undergone expansion and additional investment to help establish a proactive and forward-looking service supporting the health and wellbeing of a workforce totaling 15,000 staff. With our own in-house Counselling, Wellbeing, and Staff Physiotherapy services, we offer a holistic range of support to staff across a diverse workforce.
The team supports staff from commencement in post through to retirement, advising on fitness to work, reasonable adjustments, risk assessments, vaccination uptake, and promoting wellbeing in the workplace.
The successful applicant will work 6.5 sessions of Programmed Activity per week, plus 1.5 sessions of Professional Activity (SPA), all supervised by our OH Consultant Physician (Dr. Assoufi). The post is offered as a 0.8 Work Time Equivalent, but applicants wishing to work limited hours for personal or professional reasons are encouraged to apply.
The post holder will be managed by the Lead for OH, with professional responsibility to the OH Consultant Physician, and support for ongoing professional development including workshops, courses, CPD sessions, case discussions, and pursuing additional certifications as required.
The Imperial Health at Work team supports staff health and wellbeing from start to finish, advising on fitness to work, reasonable adjustments, risk assessments, vaccination, and promoting wellbeing.
The successful applicant will work 8.5 sessions of Programmed Activity per week and 1.5 SPA, with flexible scheduling and the need to work across Trust premises including Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, and St Mary’s Hospital in North West London. The department operates Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00, with some flexibility required.
The post holder will be managed by the Lead for Occupational Health and work closely with the multidisciplinary OH team.

Working with the Consultant in Occupational Medicine and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment and advisory services, clinical interventions, risk management, and departmental management duties.
You will ensure evidence-based, best-practice service delivery, provide clinical guidance, participate in audits, support business planning, and develop your skills and special interests through training and certifications.
This post is subject to DBS checks under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary range: £52,530 to £82,400 per annum FTE
