Job summary
Specialty Doctor Psychiatry - Lambeth Home Treatment Team and Crisis Outreach Service Contract type - Fixed Term (6-12 months) Applications are invited for a Specialty doctor post with Lambeth Home Treatment Team & Crisis Outreach Service. This is a full-time fixed-term post currently based at Lambeth Hospital site with a plan for service relocation to a community site on Brixton Road in late 2025 / early 2026. The post is for 9am-5pm with no on-call responsibilities. It is a well-established role in a well supported team with two consultants, two other part time trust grade doctors and resident doctors. The post is becoming available as the current incumbent is moving on. A full induction programme will be provided. Post will be initially for a period of 6 months with possibility of extension to 12 months or beyond.
Main duties of the jobLambeth Home Treatment Team (HTT) and Crisis Outreach Service (COS) Specialty Doctor will provide senior medical input into the Lambeth HTT and COS. This will involve assessment and treatment of patients under these teams and working within the MDTs involved which support and treat patients in crisis in the community along side facilitating early discharge from local inpatient wards and diverting patients from local A&E departments as an alternative to hospital admission.
