Job description

Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Applications are invited to apply for a Fixed Term Specialty Doctor post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The postholder will need to have experience equivalent to RCOG entrustability level 4 or above.

The successful candidate will be working at the middle grade tier (specialist registrar level).

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology unit has a Birthing unit with three pools, and all the women's facilities are within the main hospital complex. There are 24 obstetric beds and 6 gynaecological beds alongside a Gynaecology Assessment Centre. The unit handles approximately 3000 deliveries each year. Neonatal intensive care is available on-site with backup support from a regional unit in Sheffield. The unit has received awards and accolades, including nominations and an innovation award for 'Wardbook'. Our Maternity Clinical dashboard has been adopted regionally as good practice.
