Job summary
This is a replacement post following the departure of the previous post holder. Applications will be considered from those who wish to undertake the post in fewer sessions, as well as those with relevant experience.

Main duties of the job

Specialty Doctors will use their skills and expertise to achieve the best care for service users, with a focus on developing and providing supervision and oversight of the team and the assessment and management of complexity and severity. This includes:

*Ensuring evidence-based practice and service user-centred recovery principles to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate all interventions provided by the ward team to promote recovery and independence.

*Providing management of service users presenting within the inpatient setting, including review of mental state, management of medication, inputting to mandatory reports, supporting the work of the MDT, and providing support for management of physical health concerns.
