Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a Specialist Tutor for Inclusion for an ALS team on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis. The role is based primarily at the Maidenhead site with occasional travel to Slough and Langley campuses.

A valid driving licence is essential, and the start date is by 5 October or sooner for the right candidate. The role focuses on supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, delivering English and Maths sessions and leading nurture groups

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with SEND learners in an educational setting.
  • Level 2 English and Maths are essential.
  • Level 5 Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom and pastoral support, facilitate English and Maths sessions, lead nurture and resilience groups, and work closely with teaching and support teams to implement effective strategies and ensure EHCP support is delivered.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to transition planning.

Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider for a Specialist Tutor for Inclusion to join their ALS team on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis, covering long-term sickness. The role is due to start by 5 October, or sooner for the right candidate, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Based primary on the Maidenhead site, with occasional travel to the Slough and Langley campuses, a valid driving licence is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional who can hit the ground running and make a real difference to students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom and pastoral support, facilitate English and Maths sessions, lead nurture and resilience groups, and work closely with teaching and support teams to implement effective strategies and ensure EHCP support is delivered.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to transition planning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with SEND learners in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Level 2 English and Maths are essential.
  • Level 5 Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one, is desirable.
  • Available for immediate or early October start.
  • Valid driving licence (for occasional travel to Slough and Langley campuses).
