Specialist Support Workers should have relevant experience or higher qualifications. They provide information, social inclusion, and vocational support to help individuals recover and stay well, exercise choice, and participate fully in the community. In the Crisis House environment, they lead support efforts to help customers recover from mental health crises, facilitating person-centered planning and safe return home.

This role involves: x-hour shifts per week, no night shifts.

What you’ll do:
  • Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers
  • Conduct holistic assessments and develop support plans
  • Ensure ongoing risk assessment and management
  • Support recovery and enable self-management
  • Work with external stakeholders and develop partnerships
  • Support team functioning and safety
  • Involve customers in service development
  • Follow health and safety protocols
  • Lead group activities and support colleagues
  • Adhere to policies and pursue ongoing learning
  • Perform other duties as assigned
