Job summary

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) is sought to join Parkview Clinic, a regional inpatient mental health service for children and young people in Birmingham. This is a 12-month secondment / fixed-term post.

You will deliver specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for young people with speech, language and communication needs, including autistic young people and those with complex mental health needs, working both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experienced Speech and Language Therapist required.
• Deliver specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for SLN in young people.

Summary

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7)

12-Month secondment / Fixed term post

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the specialist multidisciplinary team at Parkview Clinic, a regional inpatient mental health service for children and young people. The service provides specialist care for young people across both general adolescent and eating disorder inpatient wards.

In this role, you will deliver specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for young people with speech, language and communication needs, including autistic young people and those presenting with complex mental health needs. Working autonomously and as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, support service development initiatives, and provide clinical leadership through supervision, training and consultation to colleagues and partner agencies.
