Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join the Specialist Health Community Learning Disabilities Team in North Devon. The role offers hybrid working and a 1.2 WTE arrangement, with potential flexibility in hours and a Monday–Friday, 9–5 pattern.

Qualifications

• Physiotherapist with a Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy and current UK registration.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Valid HCPC registration and commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience or willingness to work with people with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist physiotherapy for adults with learning disabilities where generic physio is not suitable.
• Treat complex musculoskeletal problems alongside cognitive/sensory disabilities.
• Assess and implement postural management, wheelchairs, and assistive devices.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to promote community inclusion.
• Support students and supervise junior staff.
• Adhere to safeguarding and professional standards.
