Job summary

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist for Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. You will deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation within an acute inpatient setting, prioritising post-operative recovery and orthopaedic pathways.

You will manage your own caseload, work with experienced teams, and participate in service development and audits to enhance patient outcomes and service quality.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration in good standing and eligibility to practice in the UK.
• Post-qualification acute hospital inpatient experience including ITU and rehabilitation.
• Post-qualification experience with an orthopaedic focus is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation in acute inpatient and post-operative pathways.
• Manage own caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions to support recovery and timely discharge.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to service development and quality improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside some of the UK's leading orthopaedic and surgical consultants in a state-of-the-art hospital renowned for delivering exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes.As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients within our acute inpatient setting. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will support patients throughout their post-operative recovery following major surgical procedures, with a particular focus on orthopaedics, while also gaining exposure to a varied caseload across surgical and critical care pathways.You will manage your own caseload, prioritising and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to support recovery, improve functional outcomes and facilitate safe and timely discharge from hospital. Clinical support and guidance will be available from our experienced Advanced Physiotherapists, providing an excellent environment for ongoing learning and professional development.This is a predominantly ward-based role, offering the opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills while working closely with colleagues across the wider therapies and medical teams.
