Job summary

The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, is recruiting a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Team. You will deliver patient-centred pharmacy services, ensuring safe medicines management across the hospital and supporting dispensary operations, procurement, stock control and medicines distribution.

You will mentor Pharmacy Assistants and Pre-registration Trainee Technicians, contribute to audits, KPIs and QIPs, and help drive service development in a world-class hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy services and ensure safe, effective medicines management across the hospital.

You will support the delivery of core pharmacy operations, including dispensary services, medicines management, procurement, stock control, medicines distribution, ward top-up services and patient services, helping to ensure the highest standards are consistently maintained.Working closely with the Lead Pharmacy Technician and wider pharmacy team, you will contribute to the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of pharmacy operations, supporting the ongoing development of services to meet the needs of patients, consultants and clinical teams.You will also contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, including participation in audits, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and supporting relevant Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) and clinical governance activities.
