Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly specialist paediatric occupational therapist to assess, diagnose and intervene with children with complex neurodevelopmental needs. Qualifications

• First degree relevant to the service area.
• Recent CPD and training in the specialist area and clinical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental needs.
• Manage a complex caseload, contributing to holistic assessment, diagnosis and multidisciplinary decisions.
• Deliver individual and group interventions and individualised programmes within agreed pathways and packages of care.
• Work with families, schools, health professionals, local authority, social care and partner agencies.
• Provide supervision and training to therapy assistants, colleagues and other professionals.
• Provide clinical leadership in the specialist area and support service development.
• Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to policy and service transformation.
