Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for Band 7 Occupational Therapists to join the Neurodevelopmental Team across Birmingham. You will lead autism assessments, work within a MDT, and support junior colleagues while developing service pathways and practice.

The role offers flexible working arrangements, clinical supervision, and opportunities to influence service development within the Children and Families Division.

Qualifications

• First degree level qualification relevant to the service area.
• HCPC Licence to practise is required.
• Evidence of recent CPD activities in the specialist area.
• Post graduate dysphagia qualification, sensory-integration or neurological rehabilitation training are desirable.
• Full membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out specialist assessments in the ND service area.
• Developing and implementing care programmes for children and families.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex cases.
• Using clinical knowledge to inform judgments and decisions for highly complex cases.
• Monitoring and auditing clinical practice within the service.
• Providing supervision and training to junior staff and students.
• Leading in quality improvement and service development initiatives.
• Supporting service transformation and innovation within the Neurodevelopmental pathway.
