Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a Learning Disability Service across Marlborough, Chippenham, Warminster or Salisbury. The role involves specialist assessment and intervention for adults with learning disabilities and complex health, behavioural and mental health needs, in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.
• Sensory Integration training or willingness to complete.
• Significant post-registration experience in learning disabilities.
• Experience supporting adults with profound and complex needs.
• Ability to manage complex clinical situations and use evidence-based practice.
• Experience supervising and developing others.
• Full driving licence and access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Hold professional responsibility for a caseload of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Provide specialist OT assessments, interventions and care planning.
• Apply advanced clinical reasoning to support complex cases.
• Collaborate within a county-wide MDT and with external partners.
• Monitor outcomes and adapt interventions as required.
• Support and supervise junior staff and promote professional development.
• Deliver education and training to clients, carers and professionals.
• Assist with service planning and leadership duties as needed.
