Do you have Band 6 or 7 experience of working in children's community services or CAMHS? Then we would love to hear from you! We are looking for an innovative therapist to work with the CAMHS team.
Responsibilities
- Work jointly with CAMHS clinicians—psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and speech therapists—to complete neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people with conditions such as ASD and ADHD.
- Bring an occupational focus to assessments, identifying how sensory differences and other factors may affect the child's or young person's activities of daily living.
- Provide advice to parents, schools, and young people to help them understand the assessments and support the young person.
- Hold a caseload, including completing post‑assessment reports and referrals.
- Run a post‑diagnosis group (CYGNET) jointly with a speech therapist.
Qualifications & Skills
- Band 6 or 7 experience in children's community services or CAMHS.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and ability to provide highly specialist assessment.
- Advanced therapeutic skills with a strong focus on occupational therapy.
- High standards of time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive as part of a team.
