Job summary

Suffolk County Council is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Medical Needs) to support children with complex medical needs across Suffolk. You will work with families, schools and healthcare professionals to help pupils access education and thrive in a safe environment.

You will deliver medical interventions per healthcare plans, maintain records, and build positive relationships. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Good organisational skills and the ability to keep clear and accurate records.
• Willingness to undertake specialist and mandatory training.
• Genuine commitment to making a positive difference for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 2½ to 19 with complex medical needs to access education.
• Deliver medical interventions per individual healthcare plans (training provided).
• Assist with moving and handling, personal care and daily needs.
