Job summary

PK Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a special school in Doncaster. You will support students aged 3–19 with severely complex physical needs, including personal care and medical tasks like tracheostomy care, medication, and epilepsy management.

The role offers term-time only, temporary with options for full-time or part-time work, and provides on-the-job training and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• GNVQ level two or above in Health and social care or equivalent.
• Willingness to get involved with medical and personal care aspects.
• Understanding the needs and specific care of the students.
• Must hold Child & adult Workforce DBS on the update service.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for students with severely complex physical needs.
• Assist with medical tasks including tracheostomy, medication and epilepsy management.
• Support students with nasogastric feeding and moving/handling as required.
