Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist to join Liverpool Adult Social Care on a fantastic hybrid opportunity. You will work with adults, families and carers, completing strength-based assessments under the Care Act 2014 to help people remain safe and independent in their own homes.

The role covers housing adaptations, equipment and manual handling guidance, with a focus on promoting independent living.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Complete community-based Occupational Therapy assessments.
• Assess for specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations.
• Carry out manual handling assessments and provide recommendations.
• Support hospital admission avoidance and promote independent living.
• Manage a varied caseload with accurate electronic records.
• Work closely with health professionals, housing teams and partner agencies.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and support students as required.
• Undertake community visits across Liverpool with office attendance as required.
