A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Grade Doctor in Addictions Psychiatry within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
The post is based at Lister Street, Crosshouse Hospital, with clinical work also taking place at other Addictions bases in East Ayrshire. Responsibilities include:
You will join five existing consultants and work as part of a well-developed multidisciplinary and multi-agency team providing comprehensive addiction services.
An active academic program, accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, offers excellent opportunities for research and development of special interests. NHS Ayrshire and Arran's Psychiatry Department is committed to supporting SAS Doctors with development opportunities, including access to a local SAS Educational Advisor and development fund.
Applicants must have Full GMC Registration (with Licence to Practice) and at least 10 years of medical work experience since obtaining their primary medical qualification, with a minimum of six years in psychiatry or relevant overseas experience.
The terms of service follow the Specialist Contract 2022 (Scotland), with opportunities for extra activities and flexible working arrangements, including applications for less than 0.8 WTE. Negotiations for different base locations within NHS Ayrshire and Arran's Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service are also possible.
