Job summary

Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd is seeking a Specials Manager to lead the day-to-day purchasing of specialist and bespoke equipment for relevant contracts, secure competitive quotations, and ensure orders are processed accurately within required timescales.

You will collaborate with Occupational Therapists, suppliers and Customer Services to provide cost-effective equipment solutions, manage supplier performance and drive continuous cost savings while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a public, healthcare or service-based industry role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing of specialist and bespoke equipment for contracts.
• Obtain competitive quotations and ensure orders are processed within required timescales.
• Raise purchase orders for correct equipment and ensure contracts are charged accurately.
• Provide regular updates on orders, supplier performance and costs to line manager.
