Job summary

Senploy is recruiting on behalf of Orion Academy in Oxfordshire for an English Language Teacher. The role is a full-time, temp-to-perm position starting immediately for students aged 10–18 with ASC/SEMH needs.

QTS or equivalent is desirable; experience teaching English in a secondary or specialist setting and strong classroom management are important. Salary is paid weekly through PAYE with added employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or equivalent is desirable.
• Experience teaching English language in a secondary or specialist setting.
• Experience supporting ASC/SEMH needs is advantageous.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons to students with ASC/SEMH needs.
• Develop reading, writing, and language literacy skills.
• Adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
• Create an inclusive, structured learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff.
• Support wider school community efforts.
