Job summary

The Cambian Group in Wales seeks an experienced Teacher at Pengwern College, Rhuddlan, to deliver high-quality teaching to students aged 16-25 with learning disabilities and complex needs. This permanent, full-time role focuses on differentiated teaching, safeguarding, and producing progress reports within a supportive team.

You will contribute to individualised learning plans, monitor learner progress, and support effective learning strategies in a 24-hour curriculum context where relevant,

Qualifications

• Experience of working with and teaching learners with learning difficulties/disabilities and/or challenging behaviour.
• Recent and relevant experience of the education and care service delivery requirements of people with a learning disability.
• Appreciation of ESTYN and CIW inspection regimes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment to underpin high levels of achievement for all learners.
• Formulate, track and evaluate session plans and schemes of work.
• Completes reports demonstrating student progress and achievement.
• Update Support Plans, Risk assessments and Tutorials encouraging learner involvement through the promotion of learner voice.
• Clearly report any concerns or issues both within the team and the relevant external bodies i.e. Estyn CIW, Safeguarding, Local Authority.
