Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a talented Teacher to join Cambian Pengwern College in Rhuddlan, North Wales. You will deliver high-quality teaching to students with learning disabilities in a supportive team environment, aligning plans to individual needs and safeguarding requirements.

The role is permanent and term-time only, with opportunities for professional development and career progression within our specialist education provision. A passion for learner-centred education is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching learners with learning difficulties/disabilities.
• Familiarity with ESTYN and CIW inspection regimes.
• Experience delivering teaching within a 24-hour extended curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment to underpin high levels of achievement for all learners.
• Ensure equality of treatment for all students using differentiated resources and strategies.
• Keep abreast of teaching developments relating to their teaching specialisms.
• Strive for outstanding learner outcomes and effective learning support during sessions.
• Formulate, track and evaluate session plans and schemes of work.
• Complete reports on student progress and achievement.
• Update Support Plans, Risk assessments and Tutorials, encouraging learner involvement through learner voice.
• Report concerns to relevant external bodies (Estyn, CIW, Safeguarding, Local Authority).
