Job summary

Routes Healthcare (North) Limited is recruiting for a female care assistant to provide complex, 1-2-1 care in clients' own homes in Preston and surrounding areas. This role operates in a 2-person team on double-up care packages, following detailed care plans and maintaining accurate clinical records.

The position offers specialist training in complex care skills, ongoing clinical supervision, and opportunities to progress into senior roles.

Qualifications

• The right to work in the UK without needing employer support.
• At least 6 months paid care experience in the UK, ideally with complex care experience.
• Willingness to complete specialist training in complex care skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients with life changing spinal cord injury and complex health conditions.
• Managing complex medication regimens and clinical observations.
• Providing personal care with dignity and respect for clients with physical disabilities.
• Supporting clients with nutritional management and monitoring health changes.
• Working closely with healthcare professionals and families.

Skills

Care experience in the UK

Education

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
