Employment: Permanent (Full-time & Part-time options available)

Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm)

Salary: £38,480 - £42,640 per year + Fantastic shift enhancements and benefits package

We are seeking a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to support patients undergoing Oncology/Chemotherapy treatments in the community, working alongside designated hospitals and health centres in the Glasgow area.

Your Role:

In this role, you will be instrumental in educating and supporting patients through their treatment journey, ensuring services are delivered with a patient-centric and customer-focused approach.

  • Conduct clinical assessments tailored to individual patient needs
  • Deliver education and training to enable patients and carers, to safely self-medicate relevant treatments
  • Provide ongoing support through comprehensive patient programmes (telephone, clinic-based, and home visits)
  • Assess home environments to ensure suitability for IV oncology treatment, prioritising patient safety and security

What We're Looking For:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
  • Chemotherapy delivery qualification (SACT certification)
  • Experience in administering oncology/chemotherapy medications, within a hospital or community setting
  • Competence in clinical assessments, IV administration, cannulation, phlebotomy, and subcutaneous injections
