NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in various clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is 8-4, with weekend working. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Addiction team within NHS Prison Health Care at HMP Barlinnie. We collaborate with the Scottish Prison Service and other partner agencies to improve the health and wellbeing of prisoners.
The post holder is operationally responsible and professionally accountable to the Nurse Team Leader. This is a peripatetic role covering all four prisons in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board Area, including HMP Barlinnie, HMP Greenock, HMP Lilias, and HMP Low Moss. Although you will be assigned a base, you are expected to cross-cover sites as needed.
