NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million residents, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent, part-time position working over two days (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm). Specific days are negotiable. The salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
As a Community Psychiatric Charge Nurse within a Community Adult Mental Health Team, you will play a key role in delivering and developing mental health services. Your responsibilities include clinical and managerial tasks, developing person-centred care plans with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), and providing evidence-based care to adults with mental health difficulties in South Glasgow. You will also administer medication in clinics and patients' homes, and support duty services on a rota basis.
You should demonstrate strong leadership skills to support the Nurse Team Leader and be capable of working independently and collaboratively within the MDT. Applicants must be Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) with current NMC registration and evidence of ongoing professional development.
