Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a High Intensity Therapist to support the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMH). The post involves delivering high intensity CBT/EMDR therapies to children and young people and leading triage within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team.

You will work within a systemic framework, carrying out needs-led assessments and evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• High intensity interventions as recommended by NICE (initially CBT).
• CBT and EMDR therapy training is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the triage process within the team and be the point of contact for referrers.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to children, young people and their families.
• Undertake needs-led, evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions for CAMHS clients.
• Promote a positive image of mental health conditions and learning disabilities.
