Job description

The post holder will be a member of the professional team leading on ensuring records are updated and managed. Working directly under the Head of Strategic Healthcare Planning and the wider Directorate as required, the role requires specialist skills in managing the Trust Estate data, including AutoCAD, AEC, and Revit. As an experienced CAD/BIM Technician, you will work within a specialist team delivering accurate graphical information to support site utilisation and strategic planning, ensuring patient and staff safety through Homerton Healthcare’s estate. The post holder will lead the development of standardised practices and processes within their area to support modern Estates services and a customer-focused delivery approach. They will exemplify professionalism, positivity, and high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and governing estate data sources/systems, including CAD, AEC, and Revit.
  2. Producing drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD for various schemes, from routine to complex high-profile Trust projects, in accordance with Trust policies.
  3. Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and the Environment Directorate to ensure concepts meet project standards.
  4. Managing reporting flows, producing design reports, schedules, and specifications.
  5. Updating drawings to support maintenance changes and maintaining records for all construction projects.
  6. Participating in site visits, audits, and surveys to validate data.
  7. Managing data within a 3D environment to support strategies such as BIM.
  8. Analyzing and interrogating data sources, seeking clarification and engagement from teams to ensure data quality.
  9. Coordinating support for specialist projects like CAFM implementation, ensuring records and drawings are current.
