Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Romford and Goodmayes is seeking a Specialist Biomedical Scientist with Bacteriology and/or Serology/Molecular experience. Primary base is Bacteriology at Queens Hospital, with rotation across all laboratory sections including KGH.

You must hold a Biomedical Science degree and HCPC registration, and have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have Biomedical Science degree and HCPC registration.
• IBMS Specialist Portfolio or equivalent experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with CPD evidence.
• Computer literate and able to follow procedures; enthusiastic about learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical work across all laboratory sections on a rotational basis under supervision.
• Contribute to quality improvement and maintain laboratory safety and accuracy.
