Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work with adults with acquired brain injuries in community settings, including patients in their own homes across Kendal and surrounding areas. The role is part-time on a fixed-term 12-month contract and Band 6, offering ongoing professional development and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The post requires HCPC registration, RCSLT membership, and ABI-specific experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Membership of RCSLT.
• Postgraduate training in ABI or cognitive-communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the ABI Interdisciplinary Team to set rehabilitation goals.
• Provide SALT expertise, training and support to carers and family members.
• Collaborate with other SALTs within NCIC and across teams.
• Provide expert SALT advice to the ABI team, patients and carers.
