Job summary

Oxford High School GDST is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to provide specialist 1:1 EHCP support and classroom assistance at Oxford Prep School. You will work with teachers, the Learning Support Team, parents and external professionals to help the pupil access learning, meet targets and build confidence, while supporting other pupils across the class and school.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in an educational setting.
• Understanding of SEND and EHCP provision.
• Patient, empathetic and committed to helping pupils reach their potential.
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil in line with EHCP and individual targets.
• Deliver interventions and support programmes, including those recommended by external professionals.
• Monitor, record progress and contribute to assessment/planning processes.
• Promote independence, self-esteem, inclusion and positive engagement in learning.
• Work with teachers and learning support staff to reinforce learning and support wider classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate pupil progress and concerns.
