Job summary

Academics in Oxford is seeking an EHCP Assistant to support young people with additional needs in a specialist school. This role is an excellent hands-on path for those pursuing psychology, education or therapy.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support aligned to EHCP outcomes, helping students build confidence, independence and participation in learning. Hours are 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a full-time contract and the start date ASAP.

A specialist school in Oxford is seeking a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic EHCP Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers.

As an EHCP Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual students' needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and active participation in learning.
  • Support students with their communication, social skills, emotional regulation and wellbeing.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to provide a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

We're looking for an EHCP Assistant who is:

  • Compassionate, patient and enthusiastic about supporting young people.
  • A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within special educational needs.
  • Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, education or therapy.
  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with both students and colleagues.

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
