Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is offering a permanent Band 3 Specialized Therapy Assistant role in the Community Integrated Assessment Team (CIAT) covering Stockton and surrounding areas, with initial base at Billingham Health Centre.

The post involves delivering delegated therapy interventions under supervision, working in patients’ homes or care homes, and supporting Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists while maximising patients’ independence and safe return home.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of therapy to patients in their homes or in care home settings.
• Work under the direction of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to implement planned interventions.
• Deliver delegated treatment programmes and rehabilitation within agreed competencies.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the registered therapist.
• Encourage patients to achieve rehabilitation goals and maximise independence.
• Communicate effectively with community services and assist in planning safe and effective care.
• Assist with administrative duties related to service delivery.
• May work across Stockton and Hartlepool localities, initially based at Billingham Health Centre.
