Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the South and East of Sheffield is seeking a Band 4 Specialist Therapy Assistant for a fixed-term post of up to twelve months, based in the community. The role involves carrying out assessments and managing a patient caseload alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, with supervision and ongoing training.

Experience in community rehabilitation and NVQ III in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Care (or Health and Social Care) is required;

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Therapy Assistant in rehabilitation (in the Community Setting).
• NVQ III in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Care or Health and Social Care (with therapy-specific units) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments and manage your own patient caseload.
• Work with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, with regular training and supervision.
