Kingsdown is a special school and part of the SEN Trust Southend Multi Academy Trust. It caters to pupils aged 3-14 with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and/or physical disabilities.
We are seeking to appoint a Special Support Assistant starting 1st September 2025.
Working hours are 31.05 per week [8.45am - 3.45pm], term time only (39 weeks per year plus 4.6 weeks paid leave and 2 weeks statutory holidays).
This is a fixed-term position for 1 year.
We seek an enthusiastic, positive, and resilient colleague committed to helping our children reach their full potential. The role includes assisting with all pupils' personal care needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Special Education, a minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English, and preferably a qualification in Child Care.
