Care and Support Assistant

Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting a Care and Support Assistant at Sussex Avenue, Kent.

We deliver personalised housing, care, and support services across England to help people live independently.

Role responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support to encourage customers with learning and physical disabilities to maximize independence.
  2. Key working with individuals to develop care and support plans.
  3. Following care plans and documenting care notes.
  4. Providing high-quality, personalized care, including personal care and medication management.
  5. Assisting customers with daily activities like washing and dressing.
  6. Supporting community activities, visits, and appointments.
  7. Promoting social engagement to prevent isolation.
  8. Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  9. Undertaking risk assessments and promoting safety practices.

Skills and experience required:

  1. Experience in personal care (desirable).
  2. Kind and caring nature.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability to customer needs.
  5. Excellent organizational skills.
  6. NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it (desirable).
