Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs across Derby schools. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive learning environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with academic, social and emotional development, and work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs. A patient, resilient approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties).
• Support students with academic, social and emotional development.
• Work with class teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs.
