Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed teaching assistant to work in SEN schools in the Derby area. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help with lesson delivery, and support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience in SEN education.
  • Adaptable to different year groups and ability levels.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils during lessons and learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions to a range of ability levels and ages.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
