Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to support students in SEND schools in Barking.

Roles are available on both full-time and part-time basis, with day rates of £92.60–£105 and a focus on Autism, PMLD and SEMH. Successful candidates will have an Enhanced DBS certificate (we can assist) and two references from the last two years, and must be able to work 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with Autism, PMLD or SEMH.
• Able to build routines and communicate clearly.
• Enhanced DBS certificate required (we can help you obtain one).
• Two references covering the past two years are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students with Autism, PMLD and SEMH across activities.
• Provide personal care and developmental support for PMLD students.
• Establish routines with a consistent approach and communicate clearly.
• Commit to full-time or part-time hours (8:30–16:00, Mon–Fri).
