Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work in schools, supporting children and young people with SEND, including Autism, PMLD and SEMH. Full-time and part-time positions are available in Tower Hamlets.

You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate and two references. The role runs 8:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, for the full academic year, with day rates of £92.60–£105. Philosophy Education can assist you in obtaining a DBS if needed.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS certificate required to work with children.
• Two references covering the past two years are needed.
• A caring, dedicated and professional approach to working with young children with special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students with Autism, PMLD and SEMH across learning activities.
• Provide personal care support for students with PMLD and assist with routine tasks as needed.
• Support behaviour management and help students develop day-to-day and academic skills.
