Empowering Learning Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special needs school in Burton upon Trent.

Your role will involve supporting students with educational activities, daily tasks, and social development, under the guidance of the lead teacher. You will help create an inclusive learning environment and contribute to developing individual education plans, while effectively communicating with parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, especially with special needs and challenging behaviours.

Job description

Empowering Learning is working with a special needs school in Burton upon Trent, who are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work with their dedicated and supportive team. The role is to start in September and will lead throughout the new academic year.

You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.

Duties
  • - Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
  • - Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
  • - Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • - Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • - Support students in their academic and social development.
