Job summary

Moray Council is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to assist teaching staff and support pupils with additional support needs. The role covers personal care, promoting independence, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate has prior experience with school-age children, strong confidentiality, and good communication skills. PVG clearance is required. Term-time hours are 11 per week, with a starting salary of £27,455.48 pro rata.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children & young adults in a caring environment.
• Educated to standard level or equivalent with understanding of English and Arithmetic.
• Confidentiality and sound judgement are essential.
• Ability to use initiative and communicate at all levels.
• Work under guidance of teaching staff and support pupils with additional needs.
• Empathy and tolerance for diverse needs; willingness to undertake training.
