Job summary

Moray Council is recruiting for a role in the early years team to assist children with additional support needs, promoting independence and personal care. The post is regulated under PVG and requires PVG Update before offer.

You will support learning activities, assist with mobility and health needs, and work under teaching staff guidance. The role is term-time, 26 hours weekly, with a temporary contract until 24 October 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children & young adults in a caring environment.
• Educated to standard level or equivalent with good English and Arithmetic.
• SSSC registration or apply within 3 months and register within 6 months of taking up post.
• Ability to observe confidentiality and use sound judgement.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and work under guidance of teaching staff.

• Provide support to children and young people with additional support needs.
• Attend to personal care and health including medical needs and maintain a safe, hygienic environment.
